Grandson: Do I have to eat this?
Grandpa: It doesn't matter to me, but your grandmother seems to have her heart set on it.
Grandson: I can't wait to be a grown-up. Then I can do whatever I want.
Grandpa: Ha! There's an old saying, "Young men speak of the future because they have no past. But old men speak of the past because they have no future."
Grandma: Earl, I asked you last week to fix the leak under the kitchen sink. i want it fixed NOW! Not tomorrow or next week, okay?!
Grandpa: Okay
Grandpa (to grandson): Women speak of the PRESENT because they've learned from PAST experience not to trust men to get things done in the FUTURE.
