Mixed feelings

I went for a job interview today, trying to get an on-campus job this semester. It wasn't that bad, especially when the one who's doing the interview was an advisor for phi beta delta, a society i'm in. I wish I'll get this job, which I actually don't have that much confidence, considering there were quite a few students asking for the same position. Of course, I'm looking for extra cash to compensate for all the spendings I made during this winter break, but what I am looking for more is some kind of experience. Job experience? I have none. Plus, I thought it would be nice to have something else to spend time on besides studying. Is that a good thinking, or me just being plain stupid? Hihihih. Whichever the case, just wish me luck, people! Other on-campus jobs require you to be a work study student, which I'm not, so this is my only hope.

Kay (the recruiter) told me a story of a student who came into the office to ask about studying abroad. He was looking at this map showing Europe and suddenly asked, "I want to study in Australia, so where is it on this map?". Duh! I thot that was funny. No offense. I'm not good in geography either, but at least, please have some knowledge of the continents in general, dude! Seriously...

N'ways, school is starting next week. I'm having this mixed feelings. Part of me wants to celebrate, but when I looked out the window and saw these piles of snow...dang...I just hate the thot of having to walk to school early morning when it's so cold and snowy. Not to forget that it's slippery. Don't get me wrong. I luurrrrrrrve snow, but not when I have to walk thru it with the sole purpose of going to school. That's just not romantic. Hahahahaha. Just kidding! It's not that bad. I'm used to it by now.

Still, school's starting next week? Urgh!

Don't know where Australia is? wow.

Being born in Melbourne, somehow I'd be a little offended if I were you, heheh.

Getting a job is always good. It feels great to earn your own money. Fruits of your own labor are always sweeter (and more satisfying).

I spent almost a year looking for a job until I got one. Hope you have better luck.
