Tsunami in Asia

Hello people. I'm back form Vegas. Happy New Year to all! For those who are in Asia, how are you and your families doing? Hopefully, all of you are safe and sound. I was shocked to hear about the tsunami. Heard it from my mum when I called her a day after the disaster. Pretty late there, but yeah... trust my mum to feed me with the latest world news. She tries her best not to miss the 10 o'clock news on channel 1 RTM (or is it 10.30? hihi), which most of the time causes me and my brothers to cry in protest since we are more interested in watching "cooler" stuff on other channel (ignorant fools).

Anyways, back to the topic. I watched some videos capturing the moment. The waves went so high. Gosh, I can't imagine me being in the situation, what's with me don't know how to swim and all. Even if I do, I doubt there's a chance for me to escape at all if I were near the shore. I guess Sri Lanka, India and some part of Indonesia suffer the most. Even the nearby countries that are not in the earthquake circle could feel the impact, when the Ritcher scale went as far as 8. A friend from Thailand called me to ask if my family in Malaysia was alright (plus wishing me a happy new year. Aww, he's such a sweet boy). I thank god, both our families are okay. My sister was actually in Penang, but got back home before the disaster. As the Malay's saying goes "berat mata memandang, berat lagi bahu memikul", all I can give is my deepest sympathy to the families of the victims, and to those who lost their loved ones. What nature does is a mystery to us. We can only predict, but let us all pray that we won't have to go through the same thing again in the future, no matter where we are. Ameen!
